In our beautiful Homosassa home, you’ll find yourself Ahead By A Century (one of our favorite songs). Located in the beautiful Tradewinds gated community, you’ll find yourself mere minutes to all of Homosassa’s best attractions by land or boat. From the moment you pull through the oversized white gates to our beautiful community, you'll be a short minute from putting your boat in the water to docking it behind our house. Ahead By A Century is located on one of the best deep water canals, less than a minute from the Homosassa River, 5 minutes to some of the area's best attractions, or 30 min to the gulf. Watch the mermaids or kayak the Weeki Wachee, Crystal River, or Homosassa Springhead - watch the manatees.
Although the house has a completely stocked kitchen and natural gas grill, you won't have to cook unless you want to; Uber Eats, and Door Dash both deliver, and some of the best restaurants are just around the corner. Across the street (10 min walk from our door to theirs) from our favorite restaurant, Nautitime (get the peel and eat shrimp or wings) - our kids walk there. 1.5 miles from world-famous Monkey Island, MacRaes's, The Freezer, and Florida Cracker Kitchen. Only a 4-mile boat ride to the gulf to scallop. Six miles from world-famous 3 Sisters Spring in beautiful Crystal River. Chassahowitzka national park, Homosassa Springs State Park, and wildlife refuge.
Some of the area's best trout, redfish, snook, and scallops, offshore you'll find amazing grouper, snapper, cobia, hogfish, and great scuba diving.

Travelers can experience life on the river in our gated riverside paradise. Take advantage of its many amenities, such as a community boat ramp and pool or unwind with your private boat slip outfitted with trailer parking. Get creative in the garage's commercial ice maker that produces over 100 lbs daily--perfect for crafting refreshing cocktails! Spend lazy afternoons grilling on the balcony while admiring views from one of three separate covered areas before cruising around town conveniently aboard a 6-passenger lithium golf cart (waiver required). Adventure awaits you onboard our tandem kayak - explore hidden coves among lush palms.
ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATIONS:
Each of the 3 large bedrooms has a king bed, large closets, and USB lamps. The master bedroom has a large ensuite bath with a tub and shower, a full bath (shower/tub combo) with two sinks on the main floor, and a half bath on the main level. Your family will have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves. The main floor has a queen sleeper sofa and two twin sleeper club chairs. Smart TVs are located in the master bedroom and main living room. Full-sized washer and dryer located on the main level.
The home has three outdoor patios for your enjoyment, including a spacious balcony off the master bedroom. Enjoy grilling up your daily catch on the new natural gas Weber grill, or have your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the deep water canal.
